Clients often ask which cross-platform framework is "better". Honestly, both ship great apps. We choose based on the project, not the hype.
When we reach for React Native
- Your team already writes React or TypeScript
- You want to share logic with an existing web app
- The app is mostly forms, lists and content
When we reach for Flutter
- The design is highly custom, with heavy animation
- You want pixel-identical UI on every device
- There's no existing web codebase to share with
Don't forget native — If the app lives on camera, Bluetooth or background processing, fully native Swift and Kotlin can still be the simplest path.
The questions we ask first
- Who will maintain this app in two years?
- What code already exists that we could reuse?
- Which device features are non-negotiable?
The answers usually make the choice obvious — and when they don't, either framework will serve you well.
